Edgewood Ave, ATL. Saturday, March 21.

I took a stroll down Edgwood Ave tonight to see how the Coronavirus was impacting the neighborhood bar scene.
It was about 10:20pm, around when peak bar-hopping hours would normally be occuring.

The weather was brisk, but curiosity and cabin fever had overtaken virus and temperature concerns.
As we started to walk towards Harold's and Nonis, the first thing we noticed was how quiet it was.
First stop was Harold's Chicken & Ice Bar. While the dining area was closed, they were still doing takeout orders.
We saw a couple patrons trickle in during our walk.
Nonis, unfortunately, is currently fully closed :(

Delightful Eatz had a sign stating they were "Accepting To Go Drink & Food Orders"

My two favorte bars, Georgia Beer Garden and Joystick are closed. The Evereman Statue is looking extra defiant these days.

At the end of the strip, Boulevard greeted us with more closed bars.

The streetcar remained operational. Its usual lack of riders may make it the safest place in Atlanta to be right now.
